VISUALLY IMPAIRED CUSTOMERS
An audio guide will be available to
accompany our production of Beauty and the Beast in Williamson Park. Please ask at the box
office for more information.
Audio Described performances:
Don't miss a beat! Have the scene set for you and hear the visual details of the show described as they happen by Anne Hornsby of Mind's Eye Professional Description Services. Anne speaks over an infra red headset available free. No extra charge. Optional touch tour of the set starts 90 mins before performance. Free ticket for a person accompanying you.

Some Dukes staff have basic BSL.
A loop system operates in the Dukes Theatre (plays and films) and the Studio theatre. Hard-of-hearing? - we will normally allocate tickets for you in the middle of the auditorium where the loop works best.
Infra-red headsets are also now available from the Box Office.

There are six steps at the Dukes main entrance. Wheelchair users who wish to enter this side of the building, please go down St Annes Place (the cobbled alleyway next to the main entrance) and up the ramp to the rear entrance. Ring the doorbell.
Inside, there is level access to all the above areas, the box office, and the accessible, adapted toilet (unisex).
Dukes theatre one is used for cinema screenings, and most theatre productions and special events. At least two wheelchair spaces are available on the front row of seats, and seats can be left in situ if people in your party would like to use them. To allow us to prepare these seats, please book all your tickets in advance if possible.
If you/your party would like interval drinks to be brought to you in the auditorium, please order these from any member of staff, before the show.
To access Dukes theatre two
Dukes theatre two is used for some theatre productions, special events and workshops. Level access to this area of the building is via the fire exit doors down the alleyway near to the stage door entrance (at the end of the building facing uphill up Moor Lane). Please either let us know what time you are arriving and we will ensure an attendant is there to meet you, or come first to the rear entrance (see above).
There is no level access from Dukes theatre two side of the building to the box office, Dukes theatre one, Gallery, Bar and wheelchair accessible toilet except by going right round the outside of the building to the rear entrance. An attendant will escort you on request. Interval drinks can be brought round to you from the Bar if you prefer - please order them before the show.
