Arts Award
Arts Award is a national qualification that supports young people aged from 11 to 25 to develop as artists and art leaders.
Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England and is offered at three levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold. At all levels young people have the opportunity to directly engage with the world of arts and to develop their own artistic and communication skills.
At The Dukes young people can take advantage of the support and expertise of the staff at a professional producing theatre. As an Arts Award Welcome venue, it’s easy to come along and get support, whatever level award is undertaken. The Dukes produce a comprehensive program within our brochure and dedicated website that offers great opportunity to enhance your Arts Award and highlights specific events and workshops that you can use to build your award. We also provide Arts Award Surgery events throughout the year so one of our Arts Award adviser's can sit down with you and see how you make these opportunities a reality. The Dukes has a full and varied programme of exciting events all year round and seeing these can help to enhance your Arts Award. There is also a specific section on The Dukes website which highlights events and workshops you can use to build your award. We also provide Arts Award Surgery events so our Arts Award adviser’s can help you make these opportunities a reality.
