Layers of Skin starts from the idea of hiding. The three layers of our skin hiding our bones, organs and muscles. Retina Dance Company shed their layers to expose a full-bodied, fast-paced and stimulating production.

Layers of Skin is a dynamic, constantly changing production, that will take its audience on a unique journey, stripping away the layers to discover the dancers internal motivations expressed through Retina’s powerful and expressive movement style.

In this unique event, six Retina dancers are joined by professional and community dancers from Lancaster, to present a work seen in layers of energy, sensitivity, power and versatility.
