The Fake Prophet is a new and groundbreaking Nollywood film that powerfully encapsulates many major child rights issues that the Nigerian child faces today, including child witchcraft accusations, child trafficking and child abandonment.
The film has been produced by the UK charity Stepping Stones Nigeria in collaboration with leading Nollywood director, Teco Benson. It is an action-packed tale of drama, suspense and intrigue, which aims to counterbalance other Nollywood films that have exacerbated the belief in child witches and the subsequent abuse and abandonment of innocent children.
