Annual walkabout theatre in Williamson Park

#DukesParkShow

"More?! You want more?!"

The Dukes' famous walkabout shows have transformed Williamson Park into Neverland, Middle Earth, Ancient Greece and now we head for Dickensian England - with a Northern twist!

Oliver Twist, an orphan, is thrown out of the workhouse and dragged to the open air market to be sold to the highest bidder. But hidden nearby in the surrounding woods, Fagin and his gang of tricksters and scoundrels lie in wait. Soon Oliver becomes a boy on the run: escaping into the woods and seeking a life of adventure and the family he always longed for.

Charles Dickens' wonderful characters - the Artful Dodger, Nancy, Bill Sykes and the hideous Mr. Bumble - lead you on a journey through this magical and mysterious open-air setting. But as Oliver delves deeper into the Fagin's glittering world, the dark side of gang life emerges. Follow Oliver as he twists and turns in search of a new life.

FOOD AND DRINK

Snacks, hot and cold beverages and alcoholic drinks are on sale before the show and during the interval at Williamson Park Café. Please feel free to bring your own picnic to enjoy.

WEATHER

The Dukes Park show is an all-weather outdoor experience so please come prepared for all eventualities. Umbrellas are allowed, but we ask that those using them stand at the back so as not to obscure the view of other audience members.
