Antigone is a Greek tragedy based around the story of the daughter ofOedipus, Antigone. Originally written by Sophocles in 442 BC, it follows the quest of Antigone to bury her brother's body, following a bloody civil war over the right to rule Thebes. In the pursuit of this aim she finds herself pitted against the cold-blooded ruler Creon, with grim and bloody consequences.
