The Devil's Violin Company presents

The Singing Bones

Date & Time

Thu 30 Sep 2010 – 20:00

Where

The Round

A burning tree
A mysterious bird
A sackful of secrets...

The Singing Bones is a blend of live music and theatre, spinning music and words together to create a world where the story spirits live.

This is the place where heroes learn fear, a beautiful bird sings of a dark secret and Death is imprisoned in the shell of a nut. Charming and chilling by turns, it conjures unforgettable images in the mind's eye and raises the hair on the back of the neck.

The Devil's Violin Company has intoxicated audiences up and down the country from Cornwall to Northumbria with their previous show The Devil’s Violin: a heady concoction of forgotten Gypsy tales from Wales and beyond stirred in with music inspired by the passion and energy of the Gypsy tradition. They now bring their irresistible blend of thrilling live music and passionate storytelling to a host of tales from all over Europe.

Please note this performance is not suitable for under 12s.

Running time: 1hr 45 approx.

The Singing Bones is part of the Chasing Tales series of events in association with Litfest. Find out more...
