A Northern play with no half measures.

A lively pub, 1989.

The bickering landlord and landlady welcome you and a host of locals to the bar. From sparkling comical characters to sparring couples and lovelorn singles. As stories unfold and memories are shared, the smiling faces of the hosts begin to crack exposing the tense and fractured relationship underneath.

With outstanding performances from two actors, frantically playing all fourteen characters in the pub, Two is the jewel in the crown of The Dukes 40th Anniversary season.  Created by Jim Cartwright, the writer behind last season’s The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, expect belly laughs and tears alongside your pint and pork scratchings.

“Cartwright is an intoxicating writer, with a god-given gift for metaphor.” The Independent

Our next touring production will be Sabbat in June/July 2012.

Are you touring this production?

TWO characters? I thought there were 14

It really was fantastic, I also attended the performance on that date, I know that I refused to lose concentration on the play. Bravo TWO all involved :)

TWO much

Saw this last night (October 11th). Cracking performances from both actors. Loved it! Excactly what live theatre should be. Funny, moving, engaging.

Thanks.
